The sort totals about 80 kinds extended in a subtropical and moderate zone of the Mediterranean, Average and the Eastern Europe, on Caucasus, in Average and Forward Asia. Has the cultural history and biological features. In floriculture it is widely used about half of specific structure. Now in the International register is presented about 300 grades of Crocuses. All grades and kinds are divided into 15 groups.

Crocus develops well on the shined places warmed up by the sun. In a shade the flowers don’t reveal completely. In vegetative rest the dehydrated medium is necessary for them. They usually don’t suffer from spring and autumn frosts.
